About the firm
Founded on one principle: say what you mean.
Harcourt & Vale was founded in 1988 by Margaret Vale and Richard Harcourt, two chartered accountants who'd grown tired of watching clients get buried in unnecessary complexity. That principle still runs the firm today.
"We've never chased scale. We'd rather know every client's business properly than know a thousand of them vaguely."
We work with owner-managed businesses, professional practices, and private clients across London, many of whom have been with us for over a decade. Every client has a named partner, not a rotating case handler.
